What is wrong with humans and why we need animal liberation right now

Animals suffer on a daily basis due to humans greed. This is what happens right here, right now - worldwide. Right now, billions of animals are held in captivity, are dragged out of their natural habitats, are abused, tortured and murdered in the name of food, fashion, entertainment, beauty, experiments and other bogus reasons. Reasons why non-human animals have to go through hell on earth are versatile: habits, convenience, tradition, societies pressure to hold on to a certain behaviour and lifestyle - what lays under every reason for animal exploitaion is, that human animals take advantage of their power to exploit and kill innocent beings. Animals have rights just like us. Animals feel just like us. Animals have families, friends and needs just like us. This mass suffering and mass murder of innocent, sentient beings has to stop immediately. We need animal liberation - NOW!

"Speciesism" and why it has to stop immediately

Imagine yourself being a non-human animal in this world. You could be a so called "pet", who gets love and affection or you could be a so called "farm animal", who gets nothing but lifetime imprisonment with enduring exploitation, discrimination and in the end - a cold blooded assassination. Imagine yourself being bred into existence to just being abused and murdered. An individual whose only reason to exist is to serve another species. Have you ever wondered why animals are seen so differently, why we would never harm certain animals but tolerate violence towards other animals? Well, "Speciecism" is the answer.

"Speciesism is the human-held belief that all other animal species are inferior. Speciesist thinking involves considering animals—who have their own desires, needs, and complex lives—as means to human ends. This supremacist line of “reasoning” is used to defend treating other living, feeling beings as property, objects, or even ingredients. It’s a bias rooted in denying others their own agency, interests, and self-worth, often for personal gain. [Source: https://www.peta.org/about-pet... ]

What unites every species on this earth is that all us want to live in peace and be safe. Nobody wants to get murdered and be abused. That's why this discrimination has to end and every human has to act with responsibility towards a better world. To end this discrimination and exploitation in your name is to be vegan.

Why veganism is about justice

According to the "The Vegan Society": "Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals."

Veganism is not just a diet for the sake of the environment or health. It is about the animals. Due to the fact, that no one would want to be treated like non-human animals in captivity, it is only fair to not treat others like we never want to be treaten by others. That's why it's absolutely necessary that everyone is vegan. This means to no longer contribute to this mass suffering in ones name. That's why I chose a vegan lifestyle and why I dedicate my free time to the fight for animals and their rights. For a world, where no one has to suffer for ones greed.

Ways to get active for the animals

Show compassion and get active, too! The first thing to do in the boycott of animal exploitation is to be vegan. The next step is to get active with and for the animals. Activism differs from person to person and depends on what each one is willing to do. You can: participate at demonstrations, other form of protests such as civil disobedience protests, do disruptions, start or join a campaign for the animals f.e. building a pressure campaign, collecting signatures, having an information booth with material about animal rights and the animal exploitation industries, be active on social media and share content or also work for an organization focusing on the fight for animals by helping with your unique crafts.

In fact, you can stand in solidarity with animals everywhere you are and point out the responsibility that everyone of your fellow humans has. Speak up for animals and stand in solidarity with them. Furthermore, you can search for organizations in your city and get active by yourself or, even more impactful, with other activists. Here you find a list of a few ways to take action for animals:
